Impressionistic in style, but with some added realistic details.  The painting is of an early morning start of a smallmouth bass fishing excursion on the Susquehanna River just North of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  A foggy and misty day's early start with a little sunlight breaking through the clouds.  You can feel the thick air and dampness on everything.
